George’s of Galilee is seeking an Executive Chef to join our culinary team. We are a Rhode Island landmark restaurant specializing in boat to plate seafood. We have been family owned and operated since 1948. We are offering a very competitive compensation, bonus and benefit package for the right person.

Have a passion for eye-popping cuisine, take pride in working with local fishermen and farms to bring the freshest seafood and local fare to our guests’ tables.
Always have a customer service focus and have the guest’s best interests in mind.
Bring new, fresh, creative ideas to the table in terms of specials, recipes, menu plans, special events, and food presentation. You have knowledge of both local and national food trends.
Thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Will be responsible for the management of a large BOH team from getting the day started with a solid game plan.
Have a knack for unique ways to train, develope and motivate your staff.
Lead by example, are positive and energetic, and look to foster a sense of teamwork and mutual respect.
Love having a very hands on approach to operating your kitchen.
Have admin abilities that include scheduling, inventory, food and labor cost analysis, POS system (POSITouch), excel spreadsheets, reviewing daily reports, etc.
Must be able to be a positive representative of the restaurant, love being able to go out front and visit tables, be interviewed, be available for the media
Have a a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a full-service establishment, preferably one focused on seafood.
Have Food Safety Manager certification and familiar with allergens.
