Gracies.jpgFour culinary students from the Exeter Job Corps Academy earned their 1st place title at the 6th Annual RI ProStart High School Culinary and Management Competition. They are now bound for South Carolina to represent Rhode Island at the National ProStart Invitational.  Ellen Slattery, proprietor of Gracie’s, contacted RI Hospitality Education Foundation to see how her culinary team could help better prepare a team of students for the road to nationals. After much discussion, it was decided that over the course of (2) 6-hour days, they would help hone the student’s skills and get them ready for their big day.  The team was brought to Providence to spend quality time in the kitchen with Chef Eric Brown.  The students were over the moon excited and truly appreciate the opportunity to be coached by one of the top culinary teams in the state.  Thank you to the team at Gracie’s!
