RI ProStart state champions from Exeter Job Corps Academy and Chariho Career & Technical Center traveled to Charleston, SC April 28-30, 2017 to compete in the National ProStart Invitational.
The culinary team from Exeter Job Corps Academy was first out of the gate and competed against 47 other teams from around the country and world. They produced an appetizer, entrée and dessert in 60 minutes with just two butane burners to cook with.
The management team from Chariho Career & Technical Center presented their Food Truck concept "Fresh Fries" to a series of judges from the industry and competed against 40 other teams.
Both teams represented the State
of Rhode Island and their schools brilliantly. We are proud of these students
who are the future of our industry.
