Training Academy News

On April 12-13, 2017 RI Hospitality Education Foundation had the opportunity to take the ServSafe® Food Handlers course to the Providence Library.  The training provided 10 youth members exploring our industry the world of Food Safety and the ability to earn a certificate.  It shows how our industry goes beyond teaching in your facilities, but before children even step into them.  

Throughout the week of April 16-21, 2017 the Providence Public Library provided teen programming for students interested in learning more about tourism and marketing.  The students learned to put together a marketing campaign for the local area.  Members of RIHA were excited to join in on this training and talk to the students about the various career fields within the industry and provided feedback on the student campaigns.
