Training Academy News
On February 15, 2018, RI Hospitality Education Foundation hosted the 7th Annual RI ProStart Invitational at the Omni Providence. Nearly fifty students from seven local high schools showed off their foodservice and management technical skills in front of nearly 40 judges. The students competed for over $900,000 in college scholarships.
The 1st place culinary team is from William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School and the 1st place management team is from East Providence Career & Technical Center. Both teams are moving on to the National ProStart Invitational April 27-29 which is being held at the RI Convention Center. Be sure to come out and cheer on team Rhode Island!
The culinary team will be competing on Saturday, April 28 at 9:50am and the management team will be competing on Sunday, April 29 at 8:00am.
Both teams are looking for mentors to help prepare them for
