Political Action Committees (PACs)

The RI Hospitality Association operates two Political Action Committees dedicated to ensuring the hospitality industry has a strong, unified voice in the state’s political process. Our PACs are funded exclusively through voluntary personal contributions—never corporate dollars—and are used to support state-level candidates who recognize the economic and community value of Rhode Island’s hotels, restaurants, and tourism businesses.

PAC contributions allow our industry to engage meaningfully in elections and help elect leaders who understand the real-world impact of legislation on workforce development, business operations, taxation, licensing, and the long-term health of the hospitality sector. Funds may be used only for candidate support as allowed by state law, and are not used for association operations or issue education.

 Why It Matters

  • Every year, Rhode Island hospitality businesses face legislation that can raise costs, restrict operations, and make it harder to stay competitive.
  • Contributions help RI Hospitality support candidates who value job creation, small business growth, and a healthy hospitality economy.
  • Political engagement is one of the most effective ways to protect operators from costly mandates and ensure hospitality remains a priority at the State House.
  • Your contribution helps turn industry advocacy into political influence, strengthening our ability to protect businesses, employees, and the communities they serve.

Together, we amplify the industry’s voice, build relationships with policymakers, and strengthen our ability to shape a business climate that supports growth and opportunity for all who work in hospitality.

*Contributions to the RIHA PAC must be made with personal funds and are not tax-deductible. Corporate contributions cannot be accepted
