ENTRY LEVEL COOK TRAINING
The RI Hospitality Training Academy is hosting an Entry Level Cook Training from September 10 – 28, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Providence Career and Technical Academy. In an effort to develop and train more skilled workers for the hospitality industry, this training is the perfect start for anyone looking to earn an entry level position in the food service sector. In this training, we will review what qualities, behaviors and specific skill sets that are required for a successful career in the hospitality industry. The first two weeks are in a classroom setting and the third week consists of hands on experience in the kitchen.
Students will be trained in:
- Kitchen Safety
- Food Safety and Sanitation
- Kitchen Operations
- Knife Skills
- Conflict Resolution
- Resume and job interviewing skills
Who can or should apply?
Anyone currently looking to earn an entry level foodservice position is encouraged to apply.
How much will it cost?
This training is free of charge to participants selected, and is funded by Real Jobs RI.
