Q: What is the purpose of this new pilot program?
A: This three week curriculum is going to allow participants to learn, practice and understand the basic functions of an entry level line cook. After the three week program is finished the graduates will be the first to fill the pipeline of ready to hire line cook candidates trained through this program.
Q: What are the skills that these participants will learn?
A: Participants will be educated on essential knife skills and safety, food handler's certifications and basic preparation and cooking methods. This curriculum focuses on the importance of being able to take directions and execute them in a safe and skilled manner.
Q: How do we show interest in interviewing these candidates?
A: Having the required skills, these participants will be ready to hire and
take their careers to the next level after their graduation on September 29 th, 2017. Given the skills needed to continue learning through
their future employers operating practices.
