Job Description

Blackstone Caterers Seasonal Operations Assistant is responsible for working with Operations Director and staff on ensuring successful event execution. Operations Assistant will work on operational efforts as assigned. This position is a seasonal full-time position, requiring nights and weekends.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

Assist Event Managers at events, nights and weekends required.

Assist Event Manager on-site as related to client experience & expectations

Assist in commissary on successful set up and organization of all equipment for specific events

Acting as on-site liaison; making sure specific requests & procedures are completed

Portraying a professional and healthy attitude at all times

Strong focus on enhancing all service standards for front of house for customer focused catering events

Enforcing the standards and policies of Blackstone to front of the house staff. 


Job Qualifications                       

·        Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 2 years comparable work related experience                 

Strong knowledge of fine dining and upscale food and beverage along with awareness of proper service etiquette.  

Candidate must be organized and detail oriented and aggressively be prepared to multitask and work efficiently in a very past paced, high volume, aggressive atmosphere

Strong organizational and management skills. Written and oral communication skills are essential together with a poised communications style.
